ENERGY RECOVERY
QMS designs and installs energy recovery systems that improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and enhance overall building performance. By capturing and reusing energy from exhaust air, these systems reduce the load on heating and cooling equipment while maintaining proper ventilation.
Our solutions are ideal for commercial and industrial buildings where fresh air requirements are high and energy efficiency is critical.
How It Works
Energy recovery systems transfer heat (and in some cases moisture) between exhaust and incoming outdoor air streams. This process preconditions the air before it enters your HVAC system—reducing the energy required to heat, cool, or dehumidify the space.
Applications
- Office buildings and commercial facilities
- Healthcare and institutional spaces
- Schools and universities
- Multi-family and hospitality
- Industrial and high-ventilation environments
System Integration
QMS integrates energy recovery into make-up air units, air handlers, and dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS). We design systems that align with your building’s ventilation strategy, ensuring code compliance while maximizing efficiency.
Virtual Design & BIM Coordination
Energy recovery systems require precise layout and coordination. QMS uses HVAC virtual design and BIM modeling to plan equipment placement, duct routing, and access—eliminating conflicts and ensuring efficient installation in tight mechanical spaces.
