Weiskotten Hall SUNY Upstate

Syracuse, NY

Quality Mechanical Services (QMS) was selected to provide HVAC renovation services for the Weiskotten Hall Renovation project located on the Syracuse University campus in Syracuse, New York. The project focused on modernizing and enhancing comfort within student collaboration and gathering spaces through the installation of a high-efficiency Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system. QMS’s scope included the installation of a new VRF outdoor condensing unit, refrigerant piping systems, equipment supports, and two ceiling cassette indoor units designed to serve the student lounge and group seating areas. The project also included selective demolition of existing ductwork, grilles, and windowsill air distribution components to accommodate the new system configuration. To ensure seamless integration with the university’s existing infrastructure, QMS coordinated the installation with Siemens building controls, providing efficient temperature management and improved occupant comfort. The VRF system was selected to deliver quiet operation, energy efficiency, and precise zone control within the renovated spaces. The Weiskotten Hall Renovation project highlights QMS’s expertise in higher education facilities, HVAC modernization, and VRF technology, delivering reliable and energy-efficient comfort solutions that enhance the student experience while supporting long-term building performance.
