Syracuse University LTE

Syracuse, NY

Quality Mechanical Services (QMS) was selected to provide HVAC infrastructure upgrades supporting Syracuse University’s campus-wide LTE communications enhancement project. The work focused on improving environmental control within critical telecommunications and IT hub spaces located throughout multiple campus buildings, ensuring reliable operation of network equipment and technology systems. As part of the project, QMS furnished and installed high-efficiency Mitsubishi and Daikin cooling systems serving telecommunications rooms and technology hubs within Brewster Hall, Sadler Hall, Haven Hall, Dellplain Hall, and Booth Hall. The scope included split-system air conditioning equipment, multi-split system integration, fan coil units, refrigerant piping, condensate management systems, controls coordination, and all associated mechanical infrastructure required to support the new cooling systems. Because these spaces house critical network and communications equipment, the project required careful coordination and precise installation to maintain reliable temperature control and equipment protection. QMS worked closely with the project team to integrate new cooling systems into existing campus infrastructure while minimizing disruption to building operations. The completed project provides dependable year-round cooling for critical IT and communications spaces, helping support Syracuse University’s expanding technology infrastructure. This project highlights QMS’s expertise in mission-critical cooling applications, higher education facilities, and the installation of specialized HVAC systems that protect valuable technology assets and ensure operational reliability.
