SUNY ESF Bray Hall

Syracuse, NY

Quality Mechanical Services (QMS) was selected to provide the complete HVAC, plumbing, controls, and BIM coordination package for the fourth-floor renovation of Bray Hall at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) in Syracuse, New York. This complex institutional renovation required extensive planning, coordination, and advanced virtual construction techniques to support the modernization of academic and research spaces. As part of the project, QMS performed comprehensive 3D laser scanning of the existing facility, developed detailed point cloud models, and coordinated all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and controls systems through BIM integration. This proactive approach minimized field conflicts, improved installation efficiency, and ensured seamless coordination among all trades. The scope included installation of new HVAC systems, plumbing infrastructure, integrated building automation controls, air distribution systems, mechanical equipment, and associated support systems required to serve the renovated fourth-floor spaces. The project involved extensive coordination with university stakeholders and design professionals to deliver a modern, efficient, and reliable mechanical system that supports the building’s educational and research functions. Bray Hall showcases QMS’s expertise in higher education facilities, advanced BIM coordination, and large-scale institutional renovations. By combining innovative technology with quality craftsmanship, QMS helped deliver a high-performance learning environment designed to serve students, faculty, and researchers for years to come.
