Quality Mechanical Services (QMS) was selected to provide HVAC system enhancements and compressed air infrastructure improvements for Saab’s manufacturing facility in East Syracuse, New York. The project was designed to improve air distribution, employee comfort, and operational efficiency within the production environment while supporting the facility’s ongoing manufacturing operations. QMS evaluated the existing HVAC systems to verify capacity and performance, then implemented modifications to improve airflow throughout the facility. The project included the installation of two 20-foot diameter high-volume, low-speed (HVLS) fans, reconfiguration of supply and return air systems, and the installation of new duct distribution designed to provide more uniform air circulation and temperature consistency across the workspace. In addition to the HVAC upgrades, QMS designed and installed a new compressed air distribution network featuring a high-mounted copper air loop, strategically located air drops, isolation valves, and infrastructure designed to support future manufacturing flexibility and equipment expansion. Through careful coordination with project stakeholders and controls contractors, QMS delivered a comprehensive mechanical solution that enhances occupant comfort, improves air movement, and supports efficient manufacturing operations. The Saab project showcases QMS’s expertise in industrial HVAC systems, compressed air distribution, and facility modernization within active production environments.
