Pozzi Hotel

Quality Mechanical Services (QMS) was selected to provide the HVAC renovation and modernization package for the Pozzi Hotel Redevelopment project in Syracuse, New York. This adaptive reuse project transformed the historic property into updated residential living spaces while preserving the character of the existing structure. QMS’s scope included the removal of existing HVAC equipment, installation of new high-efficiency heating and cooling systems, rooftop heat pumps, gas-fired furnaces, apartment ventilation systems, bathroom exhaust systems, ductwork, and associated mechanical infrastructure throughout the building. The project incorporated twelve apartment heat pump systems, centralized rooftop equipment, commercial-grade heating systems, and custom air distribution designed to provide reliable year-round comfort for residents. Working within an existing multi-story structure required careful coordination, detailed planning, and precise installation techniques to integrate modern mechanical systems into the redevelopment while minimizing impacts to the building’s architecture. Each apartment system was individually balanced and commissioned to ensure optimal comfort, efficiency, and long-term performance.
