Globe Mini Mall

Watertown, NY

Quality Mechanical Services (QMS) was selected to provide HVAC construction services for the Globe Mini Mall BOCES renovation project in Watertown, New York. This redevelopment transformed a portion of the historic Globe Mini Mall into modern educational and workforce training spaces, requiring a mechanical system designed to deliver occupant comfort, energy efficiency, and long-term operational reliability. QMS evaluated multiple HVAC system approaches and developed mechanical solutions ranging from high-efficiency heat pump systems with energy recovery ventilation to rooftop air handling systems with advanced zoning capabilities. The selected design included new rooftop HVAC equipment, complete air distribution systems, ventilation infrastructure, and testing and balancing services to ensure optimal building performance. The project required extensive ductwork installation, ventilation coordination, equipment integration, and collaboration with the project team to accommodate the unique challenges of renovating an existing structure. QMS worked closely with project stakeholders to develop cost-effective solutions that balanced energy performance, occupant comfort, and operational flexibility for the educational environment. Through thoughtful engineering, detailed planning, and quality craftsmanship, QMS delivered a comprehensive mechanical solution that supports the mission of BOCES while preserving and revitalizing a historic downtown property. The Globe Mini Mall BOCES project highlights QMS’s expertise in educational facilities, adaptive reuse construction, and design-build HVAC solutions.
