Fowler High School

Quality Mechanical Services (QMS) was selected to provide the HVAC construction package for the extensive renovation of Fowler High School in Syracuse, New York. This large-scale educational facility upgrade focused on modernizing the school’s heating, ventilation, and air quality systems while supporting improved comfort, energy efficiency, and long-term building performance for students, faculty, and staff. QMS’s scope included selective demolition of existing mechanical systems and the installation of new air distribution systems, stainless steel ductwork serving natatorium areas, energy recovery equipment, air handling units, heat exchangers, hydronic piping systems, pumps, expansion tanks, exhaust fans, unit heaters, and associated mechanical infrastructure throughout the facility. The project also included testing, adjusting, balancing, startup, and commissioning services to ensure optimal system performance. A significant portion of the project focused on the school’s aquatic and athletic facilities, including upgrades to pool heating, locker room ventilation, and dedicated air handling systems designed to maintain proper temperature, humidity control, and indoor air quality. Specialized stainless steel duct systems and energy recovery technologies were incorporated to improve durability and operating efficiency within corrosive natatorium environments. The Fowler High School Renovation showcases QMS’s expertise in K-12 educational facilities, natatorium HVAC systems, hydronic infrastructure, and large-scale institutional construction. Through detailed coordination, quality craftsmanship, and advanced mechanical solutions, QMS helped deliver a modern learning and athletic environment designed to serve the Syracuse community for years to come.
