Quality Mechanical Services (QMS) was selected to provide a comprehensive design-build HVAC solution for the renovation of the Crouse Medical Practice facility in Fayetteville, New York. The project involved a complete modernization of the building’s air distribution systems to support a high-performance healthcare environment while enhancing occupant comfort, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency. QMS’s scope included the demolition of existing ductwork systems, 3D laser scanning of the facility, HVAC load calculations, BIM-enabled shop drawings, and full mechanical coordination with the project team. The project featured the installation of a new 12.5-ton rooftop unit, repurposing of an existing 10-ton rooftop unit, new supply and return air distribution systems, gas piping coordination, and specialized exhaust systems serving restroom, clean room, and dirty room spaces. Leveraging advanced virtual construction technology and detailed planning, QMS performed facility scanning and BIM coordination to ensure accurate design, clash-free installation, and efficient project execution. A third-party air balancing process was incorporated to verify system performance and provide optimal airflow throughout the facility. This project highlights QMS’s ability to deliver innovative healthcare HVAC solutions through design-build expertise, advanced technology, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship, creating a comfortable and reliable environment for both patients and healthcare professionals.
