Quality Mechanical Services (QMS) was selected to provide the complete HVAC and natural gas installation package for the renovation of the 601 Walnut Street Apartments in Syracuse, New York. This adaptive reuse project transformed the building into six modern residential apartments while incorporating high-efficiency heating, cooling, ventilation, and gas distribution systems designed for long-term comfort and reliability. QMS furnished and installed six high-velocity heating systems serving individual dwelling units, complete with dedicated air distribution, ventilation, and condensate management systems. The project also included natural gas piping to support furnaces and residential appliances, dryer exhaust systems, bathroom exhaust ventilation, kitchen hood venting, and associated mechanical infrastructure throughout the building. As the project evolved, QMS expanded the scope to include air conditioning for all six apartments through the installation of outdoor condensing units, evaporator coils, refrigerant piping, startup, and system commissioning. The result was a complete heating and cooling solution providing year-round comfort for residents.
